Minister of Youth & Children

Rev. Jamie Dover with wife Christina and children Katie Beth, Beau, and Rory

Hi, my name is Jamie Dover. My family and I are excited to come alongside Parkview Baptist Church and to serve as your Student Pastor. I wanted to write out a little about us to inform you who we are.

The short version of my testimony: Like I said, my name is Jamie. I am twenty-five years old and originally from a small town in southeast Georgia called Screven. I began going to church when I was in the fourth grade at FBC Screven (my home church). I said a prayer asking Jesus to forgive me in March of my fourth-grade year, but it didn’t mean anything. I continued being a faithful church member, even playing guitar and leading worship for the student ministry while being lost. I had placed my faith in a prayer that I hadn’t meant instead of the finished work of Christ on my behalf. As a freshman at Truett-McConnell College in Cleveland, Georgia, I repented of my sins and asked Jesus to be Lord of my life.

More info about us: My wife, Christina, and I began dating as sophomores in high school. We were married in December of 2012. We have three children: Katie Beth who is 5, Beau who is 4 and Rory who is 2. We love being outside. Whether it is one of the kids playing ball or being out in the woods hunting or on the water bass fishing, we like to be outdoors.

I spent one year at Truett-McConnell while playing basketball. After that year (and realizing I wouldn’t be receiving any calls from the NBA) Christina and I got married and moved to Louisville, Kentucky where I attended Boyce College for two years. After those two years, we moved to Pine Knot, Kentucky to work at a maximum-security federal prison and a part time student pastor at FBC Whitley City. After feeling God call me to full time ministry, I accepted a position as Student Pastor at Midway Baptist Church in Baxley, Georgia, where I served until the end of February.

We are so excited to be here at Parkview and are looking forward to what God is going to do here in Parkview and in Eufaula.

Thank you for having us, Jamie, Christina and the Dover family
