Online web streaming is working again!
Our capability to live-stream services on YouTube has been restored! We’ve taken the opportunity to upgrade our equipment following this summer’s lightning strike. While we have been recording in 1080p HD for some time, we can now capture and transmit the same HD signal live to YouTube. However, network or server load at YouTube may cause our signal to step down to 720p resolution – which is still much better than the SD video we formerly streamed. We’ve also taken steps to improve the sound quality of our live-stream services.
Find us by searching for ‘ParkviewEufaula‘ on YouTube.
The musical will also be live-streamed on the ParkviewEufaula YouTube page.
Operation CHRISTMAS CHILD Was A Great Success!

Praying with Purpose: 31 Days of August with Jesus
Over the next 31 days we will focus our attention on Jesus – who He is and His impact on our lives and the life of our church. You are encouraged to use a notebook or journal to record what God shows you. On some days you will be asked to write down a scripture, quote, or thought of your choosing on an index card to give to someone with whom you come in contact (school, work, shopping, etc.). This will hopefully encourage them and open the door for sharing Jesus. For those who can, we will meet at 4:30 on Wednesdays and Sundays starting August 7 in the Smith SS room to pray together for God’s working in our lives and the life of our church. There is power in prayer only because of the power of the God to whom we pray. Thanks for being a part of this journey. Get ready for great things!
Children Hemmed in Prayer
These girls from Uganda visit the US almost every year, singing in churches to encourage support for the children’s ministries conducted in that African country. Here they are seen modeling some of the clothes sewn by our wonderful Parkview ladies as part of the “Children Hemmed in Prayer” effort. Read more about this program after the photo below.
Since 2005, Parkview ladies (and a few men) have participated in a ministry to send shorts, dresses, and other clothing items to needy children around the world. It began as part of the Children Hemmed in Prayer program pioneered by Mary Beth Turberville of Phenix City, AL.
Mary Beth is nurse who would go for several weeks each year as a medical missionary, showing God’s love to the people of Central America through the healing arts. She would also take clothing items for the children she encountered in these countries. You can find out more about her at this website.
The Parkview effort originally began as a participant with Mary Beth, but later started working independently to supply children’s clothing items for missionaries from our church and the Baptist association.
The items are made from rolls of cloth or recycled clothing, cut out and sewn by hand with love and prayer. Right now there is a need for tee shirts to go with the shorts and skirts that have been made. If you feel led to contribute, please speak with Ms. Faye Watford about sizes and other issues before you donate.
The group meets one Thursday each month at 9:00 AM in the Youth Center to continue this worthy cause. Keep an eye on the Sunday bulletin for the next date – they would love to have you join!
